... to Marathon Forest Products Ltd. I am proud to introduce our staff and company to you. We are a growing company always seeking new opportunities to help our customers and suppliers.

Marathon was originally formed in 1984 under the name Vandermeer Forest Products (Canada) Ltd. Co-owners Alan Huston and Frank Vandermeer started the company and when Alan sold his shares in 2006, the company was renamed Marathon Forest Products Ltd.

Headquartered in North Vancouver, BC, Marathon also has a branch office in Riverside, California. Marathon Forest Products is a wholesale distributor of SPF dimension lumber and other specialty products throughout western Canada and the U.S. In addition to commodity SPF we specialize in Aspen and SPF pallet stock, Home Centre stud programs, spruce boards, strips and OSB. We are particularly focused on selling remanufactured products from the secondary manufacturing industry.

The key to our success continues to be the strength of our people. Our staff has a combined 180 years experience in the forest products business in both manufacturing and sales. Our entrepreneurial sales staff focus on their own specialty areas as well as company programs.

Marathon is a member of the North American Wholesale Lumber Association (NAWLA), British Columbia Wholesale Lumber Association (BCWLA), Building Supply Dealers Association of British Columbia (BSDA of B.C)., Western Pallet Association (WPA) and the Canadian Wooden Pallet and Container Association (CWP&CA). We have staff active on the board of three of these organizations.
